I went to a home theater demonstration a few years ago. It had about 20 seats, HD projection system, acoustic walls, etc. I think it ran about $150,000.
If you want a real home theater(movie style seating and everything) it’ll probably run you at least 15 grand.
Start out at about 38,000.00 and work your way up.
I got 6,000.00 in my bedroom and it ain’t no theater. and is not any where close to being top of the line.
Give me points for honesty.
well if you wanted to go all out id say at the least $30000. thats for all the things you mentioned mind you. you could get a big tv and a good surround sound system for $5000 if you looked around.
no no it shouldnt be over $10,000
this is very general, Im a home theater specialist at best buy, so i think i got everything about right.
Projector = $1100
Screen = $300
Surround Sound = $800
Cables = $300
Speaker mounts = $300
DVD/Bluray = $350
A/V Receiver = $400
Cables ran through wall = $250
Theater chairs = $150 ea
Lighting = $400
HD cable = $90 month
Glass of Lemonade = $2
Having fun while spending all this money = PRICELESS!!!
too much. stick to a living room or family room with a television!
It all depends on the type of qaulity you want for each item. I would do extensive research on each item before spending any amount of money.
I have a 10,000 sytem in my master bedroom and that’s just using a 42″ plasma
My main HT system is around 20,000 and it just has a 58″ Pioneer Elite HDTV
again costs vary for every item and the definition of Home Theater is subjective to each person.
Billy Bob may be happy with a HTIB hooked up to his 24″ 20 year old TV and he would call that high end. While others don’t believe High end doesnt start till you have spent at least 100,000 and up.
I would say the average cost for a Joe Siz pack with avarage gear would be at minimum 5,000.00
