Home theatre return policy – BB/CC?

Hi All:
Am planning to invest in a bose 321 / cinemate – to decide am planning to try them out one by one – why cinemate? cos am planning to buy a upscale DVD player, so i think investing in a 321 will result in having an xtra dvd player. Sales pp at CC and best buy told me that there is no restocking fees on home theatre systems – but their online return policy kind of make me doubt the statement(it says 25% re-stocking on appliances/special order applicances(BB) /home theatre “seating(CC)).Am confused -is there a catch in what the sales ppl told me. Please help me –

    I don’t see an inconsistency. It sounds like normal items have no restocking fee, but special order stuff (the items listed are special appliances and HT SEATING) does. If you buy online or in a store and return you won’t have a fee.

    That said, think hard before buying Bose systems — they are mediocre performers at very high price for what you get. You can do much better for less money. See 1st link re Bose and 2nd re some options.

    Furthermore many of their systems use prorietary connectors that make future adaption or replacement of components difficult, and they are typically very light on connectivity.

    i work for best buy and you will have 30 days from the date of purchase to return your item. There is a restocking fee on things like cables/ accessories because the packaging cannot be restored. Something in the box like a bose system will give you a full refund. Just my personal opinion go with the 3.2.1 unless you dont want the clutter of extra speakers that you dont have to deal with with the cinemate. They are both good systems though go with what works for you.
