So the question came to me “What would you buy if you have X million/billion dollars and could not invest it OR use it for charity?”

Everyone gets the question (or some variation) in their live.

My price limit was 10 billion. So I basically created a home/zoo/museum for under privileged schools to go to on field trips (the living area separate from the rest). Blah blah blah. Anyway there would be two IMAX theaters, one as part of the museum (basic normal IMAX with ample seating.

The second would be a personal theater with a grouping of about 10-15 luxury seats, a table, and drink dispensers and a remote control. This would have the 76×97ft IMAX screen (with IMAX quality).

The hypothetical has passed, but I was curious about how far 10 billion would get me on the idea so I started to compile a list and started taking this “seriously”. No, I do not have anything better to do with my time. Yes, I do have a lot of spare time.

So I was wondering if anyone knew how much an in home IMAX theater would be. I tried to find it online but I could not. So I bring this to you, the users of Yahoo!Answers.

PS: I had no clue which topic to post this under, so I picked this one as a best gues.

I have a Craig shelf system with a 3CD changer and an AM/FM tuner. It has two matching speakers that attach to the back with a red and black wire for each. As you can tell, I know nothing when it comes to audio systems. What I’m wondering is if I can use this stereo as a receiver and just buy the speakers rather than the entire home theater system, seeing as how the receiver is the most expensive part.

Thanks

Hi All:
Am planning to invest in a bose 321 / cinemate – to decide am planning to try them out one by one – why cinemate? cos am planning to buy a upscale DVD player, so i think investing in a 321 will result in having an xtra dvd player. Sales pp at CC and best buy told me that there is no restocking fees on home theatre systems – but their online return policy kind of make me doubt the statement(it says 25% re-stocking on appliances/special order applicances(BB) /home theatre “seating(CC)).Am confused -is there a catch in what the sales ppl told me. Please help me –

Thanks in advance.
