Home Theater Room, Suspended Ceiling, I am wanting to use Foam Board instead of Celing Panels?

We live in a older big two story house, and we are going to turn our basement into a home theater room , now, we already have a suspended celign with 2foot by 2 foot ceiling tiles,

paint for home theater related cables?

Hi,
I’m working on my home theater room and I was wondering if somebody has a recommendation to pain the following type of cables:
- speaker wires
- digital audio cable
- HDMI cables
- video component cables
Basically, I have to run everything externally and I want the room to look nice I want to paint everything in white to [...]

Why can’t my Home Theater sound as good as Best Buy ?

What am i missing in making my Home Theater (Living Room) sound fantastic ?
I have 5.1 Yamaha receiver,JBL fronts,Sub,Center and rear .
Also a 32′ Phillips monitor .
